How to choose winter tires?
Are your winter tires too worn out to safely face the cold season? In order to properly equip your car, it is essential to consider a number of things, including the following:
- The type of surface you drive on most often;
- The approximate number of kilometers you drive in winter;
- The size and weight of your vehicle;
- Your budget.
And take note: normally, in Quebec, winter tires are mandatory as of December 15th; but in 2019, they will be mandatory as of December 1st. That said, most experts recommend that winter tires be installed as soon as the temperature hovers around 7°C for a few days, which is often the case in November, or even towards the end of October!
